Data Science and Society kijkt verder dan alleen het werken met data vanuit een logisch en statistisch perspectief. Je leert ook over data vanuit een sociaal, filosofisch en bestuurlijk perspectief. Door data vanuit meerdere perspectieven te begrijpen, ben je niet gebonden aan één soort baan, dus je kunt overal ter wereld aan de slag!
Two of the Nobel Laureates for Economics in 2021, Joshua Angrist
and Guido Imbens, have earned their award for breaking ground discoveries. Their insights are
being used today to extract more value out of data, allowing us to answer fundamental questions
such as: does better access to contraceptives lower the rate of crime? What I find so exciting
about the Data Science & Society programme: it forms the crossroads where a wide range of
ideas meet to find a common ground and generate new ‘offspring’.
